Earrings for men: custom diamond and silver earrings, made to order

Choose the style, the stone and the size, and we make the pair for you. Here is how to get it right, and why the metal matters most.

Updated 10 October 2026. Written by the Argentia team, Jaipur.

Short version: men usually wear one pair of earrings every day, so the metal matters more than the style. Argentium silver contains no nickel, the most common cause of earring reactions, resists tarnish from sweat and needs no plating. We make every pair to order: you choose the style, a lab-grown diamond, natural diamond or moissanite, the size and the back, and we deliver it across India and worldwide.

Customise your earrings

Pick the style, the stone and the size, or send us a photo of a pair you like. We make them for you in Argentium silver and deliver across India and worldwide, with duty included.

Design your own pair

Every pair we make starts with five choices. You can decide all of them yourself, or tell us the look you want and we will suggest the rest.

Diamond earrings for men

Diamond studs are the most searched men's earrings, and there are three ways to get the look.

Lab-grown diamond. The same material as a natural diamond and identical to the eye, at a small fraction of the price. For men's studs, where the stone is small and the look is what matters, this is where most buyers now land.

Natural diamond. The traditional choice. Prices have fallen a long way since 2022, but a natural pair still costs many times a lab-grown one.

Moissanite. Harder than almost anything except diamond, with more sparkle, at a lower price again. It handles daily wear very well.

A quarter to half a carat per ear usually looks right on a man. Bigger works for evenings, but at everyday size a well-cut smaller stone reads as confident rather than loud. Not sure which to choose? Ask us on WhatsApp and we will send you options side by side.

Why Argentium silver is the best metal for men's earrings

An earring sits inside the skin all day. That is where problems start, and it is why so many men give up on cheap pairs.

No nickel. Nickel is the most common cause of itchy, red or sore piercings, and it turns up in cheap silver and plated metals. Argentium 960 contains no nickel.

Built for sweat. Ordinary sterling silver darkens with sweat and humidity, through a working day and the gym. Argentium resists tarnish far better, thanks to the germanium in the alloy.

Nothing to wear off. Many silver earrings are plated to look bright, and the plating wears, often at the post where it touches the skin. Argentium needs no plating.

More silver, and stronger. Argentium 960 is 96 per cent silver, against 92.5 for sterling, and it can be hardened so posts and hoops keep their shape for years.

Backs that stay put

The most common complaint from men who wear studs is losing one. A push back can work loose pulling on a T-shirt or a helmet. For everyday wear we recommend screw backs: the post is threaded and the back screws on, so it does not slip.

How ordering works

  1. Tell us what you want on WhatsApp: the style, stone, size and back, or a photo of a pair you like.
  2. We send you a price and, for anything custom, a CAD drawing to approve.
  3. We make your pair in our workshop in Jaipur, in Argentium silver, stamped with the Winged Unicorn.
  4. We deliver it across India or abroad, with any import duty already included, so nothing more is due on arrival.

If you are outside India, our import duty calculator shows how the landed cost works in your country.

Which ear should a man wear an earring in?

Either, or both. The old idea that one side carried a particular meaning has faded, and today it comes down to what you like and which side people usually see. Plenty of men wear a single stud on one side, or a matching pair.

Looking after them

  1. Take them off before swimming. Chlorine is hard on any silver.
  2. Clean the post now and then with warm soapy water and dry it fully. Most irritation comes from a dirty post.
  3. Wipe them with a soft silver cloth if they lose their shine, and store them dry.

Frequently asked questions

Can I design my own earrings for men?

Yes. Choose the style, stone, size, finish and back, or send a sketch or photo. For anything custom we send a CAD drawing to approve before the pair is made in Argentium silver.

What earrings are best for men?

For everyday wear, a plain silver or single-stone stud around 4 mm suits almost everyone. Small hoops and huggies are the next most popular. Choose a metal without nickel, such as Argentium silver, and screw backs so the stud does not work loose.

Are silver earrings good for men?

Yes, if the silver is good. Argentium 960 is 96 per cent silver, contains no nickel, resists tarnish from sweat and needs no plating, which makes it well suited to earrings worn every day.

Are lab-grown diamond earrings good for men?

Yes. A lab-grown diamond is the same material as a natural diamond and looks identical, at a small fraction of the price. A quarter to half a carat per ear suits most men.

Is moissanite good for men's earrings?

Yes. Moissanite is very hard, has more sparkle than diamond and costs less, so it suits studs worn every day.

Is Argentium silver good for sensitive ears?

Argentium contains no nickel, the most common cause of earring reactions, so many people with sensitive ears find it comfortable. Anyone with a known metal allergy should check with a doctor first.

Which ear should a man wear an earring in?

Either, or both. The old meanings attached to one side have faded. Most men choose the side people see most, or wear a matching pair.

Do you deliver outside India?

Yes. We deliver across India and worldwide, with import duty included in the price, so nothing more is due when the parcel arrives.
